Dean Walks!

Tonight after dinner Dean decided to take his first steps. Here is video.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had another fun weekend at the lake. Here are a few pictures.

The littlest Hatchetts pilled together on the hammock.

Anna Grace's first ride - she loved it.

Her first Big Bertha ride as well.

Dean loves swinging on the hammock.

Relaxing after a long swim.

Relaxing with Mom.

Poor Malley Tate looks just like her daddy.

Weekend at the Lake

We had a fun weekend at the lake. Here are some pictures.
Dean's first boat ride.

Anna Grace's first time to drive the boat.

Dean liked watching the water behind the boat.

Anna Grace now calls it her boat.

Anna Grace loves Uncle Gilder but she really loves "Malley Tate the baby."

Mother's Day Zoo Trip

For Mother's day we had a day of fun. It started with breakfast at the Original Pancake House then a trip to the zoo and concluded with lunch at Sneaky Pete's. Anna Grace loved the zoo and still says the alligator is her favorite animal. She also never took her sun glasses off - and we were there 3 1/2 hours. Dean managed to sneak in a little nap while we where there.

Dinner at Honey and Big Daddy's House

Anna Grace loves to help in the kitchen.

Our Train Trip Home

After so much blogging I had to take a break. I am back in full swing though. Here are pictures of our trip home on the train.

Our train approaches the station.

Taking it to the house

She was ready to come home and see her daddy - all three of us were. We had lots of fun on our trip to the Coast but we are thankful to be at home in our own beds tonight. I have some pictures getting off the train in Birmingham today but they are on Jan's camera so I will have to post those later.

One last trip to the pier

We went one last time for a ride on the swings before it was time to come in and begin packing for today's train ride home.

Tea Party Time

After our crawfish Juju and Anna Grace enjoyed a tea party on the porch. I think Anna Grace wore the most appropriate clothes ever to the party - especially the camo shoes. Dean attended the party but he did his own thing.

Crawfish time

Sunday Ottie cooked crawfish for us to enjoy before returning home today. Anna Grace and Dean enjoyed helping - especially while the crawfish were still alive and they could watch them crawl around in the cooler.

Fun in the backyard

They both had lots of fun playing on the swing set in the backyard. Anna Grace also helped plant flowers with Juju and made a stepping stone for Juju's garden with her feet print. She got so dirty though we had to strip her down and hose her off in the yard - Mom would not let me put those pictures in the post.

Pier time

We had a picnic lunch and played out on the pier. Anna Grace loves the hammock and the chair swing out there. Dean was a big fan of the porch swings and the buoy bell.

Anna Grace waters for Mom

Anna Grace would not be outdone by Dean's shoe modeling adventure. She decided to get some of her own time watering the ground with the rain water she caught the night before.

Dean's first pair of shoes

Dean got his first pair of shoes on Friday. Here is what they look like. He is growing into man right before our eyes.

The best part of Dean's day

Dean also had lots of fun playing in the Tupperware cabinet while Anna Grace watched/slept through an Einstein video.

Playing in the Rain

Dean has not been left out of all the fun around here. After his nap - He just about slept the whole afternoon away - the two of them played outside on the porch chasing bubbles. It began to rain while we were out there. Anna Grace and Dean felt the need to play in the rain some (at that time we did not know about Anna Grace's fever; I really don't think she had one at the time though).
I have video of this event. I will upload that later.

Errands...Too much to handle

Today we had another big day. This morning we went to run errands. Anna Grace apparently did not feel well. However, she never bothered to tell us that - or act like she did not feel well - until she threw up all over Mom and the Food Court at the Outlet Mall. Yes, she had her first (and hopefully her last) public throw up experience and no I am not exaggerating when I say ALL OVER Mom. I am so thankful that I was not there by myself with the two children. She is okay; she was running a low-grade fever at bedtime but has not gotten sick since. Here are some afternoon shots of her milking Mom and me for all it was worth while being sick - and not taking a nap. As you can see from the blanket we were very cautious about where she spent her time, making sure it was protected in the event there was a 2nd episode.
